Gardening with the rhythms of the season.
I’m Gabriel Goode, a lifelong gardener and writer in Downeast Coastal Maine. Originally from the South, I have lived in Maine for over a decade. I have fallen in love with our four, occasionally extreme, seasons. For someone with a short attention span, the variability of our climate provides ample projects to keep gardening life interesting and new.
My written topics cover ornamental and kitchen gardening and range from care and appreciation of roses, apple grafting, gardening for wildlife, and seasonal projects for the pantry.
I feel that a perfect garden is what you make of it, weeds, bugs, and all. Our gardens are alive and the joy is in paying close attention to the rhythms of the season, and finding delight in change, growth, and the unexpected results of working with Nature.
